Boxes for both the Display Set Dolls and the replica dolls are unmarked, but absolutely unmistakable. They consist of a red, white and blue striped bottom with a lid featuring red and blue stars on a white background. The bottoms of the boxes are of a much heavier cardboard than the majority of composition doll boxes and are extremely sturdy.
Inside, the boxes held cardboard inserts with strings to secure the dolls and tissue paper to protect them.
Due to the width of some of the gowns, boxes for several models in both the Display series and the replicas, are quite large. And as usual, the year the doll represents is noted on the edge of the lid…in pencil.
